Patrick Mulvihill & Mary Russell

Patrick Mulvihill was born in the late 1820’s in Ireland.  Mary Russell was born on February 14, 1824 in County Clare, Ireland to Michael Russell and Bridget O’Connor.  It is unknown when or where these two met or when Patrick immigrated but census records indicate Mary immigrated in 1856.  They first appear in records in 1858 when their daughter Margaret was baptized at Immaculate Conception Church in Lock Haven, PA.

Patrick and Mary lived in Chapman Township, Clinton County, PA where they raised four daughters: Margaret, Mary, Ellen, and Sarah.  Patrick was a laborer and a member of the West Branch Hose Co., a local fire company.  The girls all attended the local schools.

Patrick passed away in 1876 at the age of 47.  After his death, Mary lived with her daughters and their families, spending most of her time with her youngest daughter Sarah, even moving with them to Baltimore where she passed away in 1914 at the age of 90.
